A popular Scottish comedian has finally decided to perform in Abu Dhabi
after a long wait of six years. A long-overdue world tour will also mark his debut as his first solo show in Abu Dhabi. He will be visiting the UAE for a day in January 2023 as part of his ‘Overdue Catch-Up’ world tour. The tour kicks off in the UK this month and will be making its way to the UAE in the new year.Etihad Arena on Yas Island has confirmed that they will host Kevin’s show on 21st January 2023. Yas Island is a well-facilitated place that has recently hosted IIFA Awards as well. Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE is a perfect destination to attend such massive concerts and events, and enjoy a 1-day getaway .
Kevin’s last show in the UAE was at the Dubai World Trade Centre in 2017 and 2014. He has become renowned in the Glasgow comedy circuit with perfect comic timing. He rose to fame with his quick-witted appearances in the UK television panel shows like Would I Lie to You?, Have I Got News for You? and live performances at Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and the Apollo. He has completed several world tours earlier, each shattering several box- office records on the way.
Kevin mentioned that he is delighted to be visiting and performing live in Abu Dhabi after a long wait due to COVID. He is also excited to perform his first solo show at this massive venue. This is Kevin’s fourth show at Etihad Arena that has hit the headlines after a sold-out show in 2021 with Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, and Russel Peters.
Eligibility & Tickets
You should be above 21 years to watch this show on your own. If you are between 16 and 21 years of age, you should be accompanied by someone 21 years or above. Audiences below 16 years of age will not be permitted entry.
Tickets are already available for sale from 195 Dirhams onwards per person, and the price goes up to 495 Dirhams for the best home seats. All bookings will be made online through the Etihad Arena website, Platinum List, and UAE Virgin Megastores that will issue a Green Pass on payment confirmation. This pass has to be mandatorily displayed during entry into the venue.
