Saudi Arabia is gearing up to open the doors of Six Flags theme park in Qiddiya City on December 31. The Six Flags Qiddiya City is a part of the enormous Qiddiya City, a multi-used destination, built to boost Saudi Arabia’s tourism.

Dubai, UAE, November 24, 2025: Saudi Arabia recently announced that the highly anticipated Six Flags theme park is getting ready to open in December 2025. The Six Flags Qiddiya City opening date is on the late day of December, i.e., on December 31. The project was launched in December 2021, and it has been most awaited by residents and tourists of Saudi Arabia for the last four years. What makes it extra special is that it is the first Six Flags theme park to open outside the United States of America.

Qiddiya City – Location and Overview

Located on the edge of the Tuwaiq cliffs, Qiddiya City is 45 km away from Riyadh city. Qiddiya City was launched to introduce the concept of “Power of Play” to Saudi Arabia. Apart from being a residential area, Qiddiya City would also be one of the best and the largest entertainment, sports, and cultural spots of the country. Saudi Arabia has plans to introduce twelve theme parks, a large sports complex (including a stadium) for international tournaments, and arts and culture scene as well. Six Flags is the first theme park of Qiddiya City.

Six Flags Qiddiya City Saudi Arabia is spread around an area of 32,000 square meters. The entire place is divided into six zones, each equipped with thrilling rides and attractions. The zones of this theme park are Steam Town, Twilight Gardens, Valley of Fortune, Grand Exposition, Discovery Spring, and City of Thrills.

Among the 28 rides distributed into the six zones, five are record-breaking ones. The most celebrated here is Falcon’s Flight. Standing at the height of 195 meters, this is going to be the tallest rollercoaster in the world. It is also the fastest rollercoaster, as it runs at the speed of 250 km/hour, making it faster than the Formula Rossa in Abu Dhabi’s Ferrari World. Apart from this, it also holds the title of being the world’s longest rollercoaster.

The other groundbreaking rides here are Spitfire, the tallest triple launch coaster in the world; Iron Rattler, the tallest tilt coaster in the world; Gyrospin, the tallest pendulum rider in the world; and Sirocco Tower, the tallest free-standing shot tower in the world. However, Six Flags Qiddiya City is not just for thrill seekers. This theme park has around 18 rides and attractions meant for families.

Along with being a fun theme park, Six Flags Qiddiya City is also a leisure destination. A spokesperson of the theme park said, “We have all the amenities to ensure that our patrons can spend the entire day here without any issues. We have 29 restaurants and cafes, offering both local and international cuisines. We also have 25 retail stores, where visitors can shop for the theme park’s merchandise.”

Six Zones Qiddiya City – Entry Tickets

The opening date announcement was followed by opening the ticket bookings of Six Flags Qiddiya City. Visitors can book the tickets for the theme park through their website. The Six Flag Qiddiya ticket price begins at SAR 325 for adults and SAR 275 for children. Kids under the age of 4 years are allowed entry without tickets. Those who want priority access can also choose Unlimited GoFast Pass at an additional cost. The theme park is disabled-friendly. People with special needs are also eligible for discounted tickets that start from SAR 75. This discount is extended to senior citizens and their companions also. The entry tickets give visitors access to all the rides and attractions here, although it does not include dining and shopping expenses.

Six Zones Qiddiya City – How to Reach?

There are multiple ways to reach Six Zones Qiddiya City. The easiest would be driving to the place by car or taxi. A navigation app would lead visitors to the parking spot of the Qiddiya City. After parking the car, visitors can take the free shuttle that has been arranged to take people from the parking area to the entrance of Six Flags. Those using public transportation can take a metro to Jeddah Road Station and proceed to the theme park via Qiddiya Bus, a free shuttle bus from the metro station to Six Flags Qiddiya City.

Six Zones Qiddiya City – Sustainability

Six Flags Qiddiya City’s main aim is to provide unlimited fun to the visitors. Every attraction planned and designed here is for the very same purpose. However, the theme park also takes its responsibility towards sustainability seriously. A spokesperson from Six Flags Qiddiya city said, “Our system is designed in such a way that 80% of the operational waste will be recycled.” In short, the theme park has made considerable efforts to be environmentally-responsible.

Six Zones Qiddiya City has launched its own mobile application to make one’s visit easy and hassle free. Visitors can download the app to check the map of the place and list down the rides and attractions they want to try. The app also allows guests to save their tickets and make upgrades. It can also be used to navigate the theme park and also find out the time taken for each ride.

Qiddiya City has piqued the interests of locals, residents, and tourists since the date of announcement. It is believed to bring the entertainment avenues of Saudi Arabia to the forefront in the tourism industry.
