Check out the Millennium Monument
The 68-meter high column of the Millennium monument is one of the best known iconic free attractions of Putrajaya. Designed to look like a hibiscus flower (it is the national flower of Malaysia), the monument is located on a beautiful waterfront and surrounding the column are the multilevel platforms that add to its beauty. Depicting the Malaysian history to a great extent, the engraved glass panels are the special attractions to watch out for. Every panel depicts an event of prominent years of Malaysia history. The base of the monument is in the shape of a time capsule containing a special message from the former prime minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohammad. However, the message is set to be unveiled only in the year 2020.
Putra mosque
Famous by the name of Pink mosque, the Putra mosque is the most famous and visited the mosque of Putrajaya. Exquisitely decorated, the pink mosque has intricately embellished pink granite stones on the tomb from where it derives its name too. The entire mosque is a perfect combination of Malay and Middle Eastern design inspirations. Even non-muslims are allowed to enter the mosque and worship. With no internal partitions, the main prayer hall of the Pink mosque can accommodate up to 8000 worshippers and the first-floor hall can accommodate 2000 female worshippers at a time. The unusual bridges of Putrajaya

Botanical Garden

The flora and fauna of the place are extremely diverse and a treat for the nature lovers. Covering an area of 93 hectares, the park development is divided into three phases. The first phase of 63 hectares is already completed and open to the public. The completed area is itself such a huge place with over 700 species of plants brought here from over 90 countries of the world.
Putrajaya Challenge Park
Yes, another attraction that is not free but again, had to include in order to let our readers know that for just RM3 (for students) and RM6 (for adults), they can enjoy a great day with friends and family and cherish priceless memories. This 30-hectare park contains some of the most extreme facilities in entire Malaysia. The three main attractions of the park are – Indoor Rock Wall Climbing Complex, Skate Park and Thrill Park, Mountain Bike Trails. For children as well as adults, the park is the perfect place for entertainment and refreshments.
