The Svalbard Global Seed Vault was built on an isolated island in the North Sea out of the fear that all the sci-fi scenarios regarding the end of the world may indeed come true. It is home to more than two hundred and fifty crop seeds that are shipped worldwide from gene banks with an appropriate cost exceeding nine million dollars. Nobody can enter the vault; however plant breeders, researchers can request seeds from the banks. If at all you enter it, you will experience the greatest hope for agriculture in the form of some earthly disaster or a polar ice cap melt.

It is a closed military town that is believed to be a great secret nuclear facility in the possession of the Russians. Inconsistent answers were given by the Russians when they were questioned about it, such as it is a treasury, a food storage, mining site, and finally, they said that it was a nuclear bunker. Nuclear weapons are housed here and we are not allowed to inspect it even if we wish to do so. Due to this fact, it has the saying that goes like this, “As impenetrable as Fort Knox”.

This area covers about 124,000 sq. km. and it is an Australian military testing range. This area is restricted, but the nearby town of Woomera is open for the tourists to travel. You will like to visit this area for one reason, however, also stay away from it for another reason. There are sufficient quantities of iron ore, minable gold, uranium, opals, etc that is unreachable for the common pubic. It is nothing but a minefield, where unlaunched war material is seen lying around in large amounts. So, even if one wanders around this region, there’s a possibility that their face may get blown off. Anyways, it’s not a good option to spend your weekend or picnic time.



5. Aldwych Tube Station

It was a subway station that was active during the 2nd World War. It was also used as a hiding place for National Gallery artworks and air raid shelter. The trains, however, stopped running in 1994, and since then the whole station is left unused. There are ancient elevators, an old lobby, and a monument to early 1990s with vintage tracks. This station is open for the tourists only sometimes on special occasions, otherwise you will see that tourists just visit it to click photographs, most of the times.

Till date, it is said that he was the only man who has seen the interior of the palace without a building permit or an official Royal Family invitation. If you are one like him, there are chances that you will see it only once in this lifetime.
