The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has unveiled its schedule of activities for the 2022/2023 winter season, which is expected to generate enthusiasm and enrich the UAE capital’s tourist experience. The most recent Abu Dhabi Calendar was revealed during a TV talk show-style launch event. Lasting for about 180 days, it includes extraordinary concerts by regional and international artists, exhilarating sporting and e-sports action, immersive cultural festivals, live interactive family shows, crowd-pleasing concerts, and unmissable theatre, opera, and dance performances.
The first NBA Abu Dhabi Games, the return of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, led by UFC 280: OLIVEIRA versus MAKHACHEV, Disney’s The Lion King, and the IIFA Awards Abu Dhabi 2023 are all highly anticipated events on the Abu Dhabi Calendar. The Wireless Festival will make its Abu Dhabi premiere in March 2023 for fans of rap and global urban music. According to Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at DCT Abu Dhabi, “This season, the Abu Dhabi Calendar features an extraordinary lineup of activities to amaze and excite our inhabitants and visitors. - Wireless Festival: The popular London rap and urban music festival is coming to Abu Dhabi on March 4, 2023.
- Sting: On January 27, 2023, the 17-time Grammy Award winner will perform at Etihad Arena as part of his- My Songs tour. Tickets go on sale from September 23rd.
- Andrea Bocelli: On November 24, the Italian singer will return to Abu Dhabi for a night of enthralling classical music at Etihad Park.
- A.R. Rahman: The two-time Academy Award winner will perform for the first time in Abu Dhabi on October 29 at Etihad Arena.

- Westlife: The legendary Irish musical group will perform at Etihad Arena on September 29, 2022.
- Club Social Festival: From October 28 to 30, this festival promises a weekend of music, food, and cocktails and will feature Liam Gallagher, Kaiser Chiefs, and Clean Bandit.
- National Day Concerts: From December 1 to 3, a series of concerts will honor this year’s National Day celebrations.
- Arabic Concerts: From October 14 to December 21, some of the top DJs and singing sensations from the Arab world will perform in Abu Dhabi in a series of concerts. Nancy Ajram, George Wassouf, Melhem Zein, Mouhamad Khairy, Wael Kfoury, Ahmed Saad, DJ Aseel, BiGSaM, Aziz Maraka, and Siilawy are among the performers.

- NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022: On October 6 and 8, the Atlanta Hawks and the 2020-21 NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks will play two pre-season games at Etihad Arena, marking it the first NBA games in the Arabian Gulf.
- NBA District: From October 5 to 9, this immersive, interactive fan event will be staged in conjunction with the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022 at Manarat Al Saadiyat, showcasing music, media, and art related to NBA culture. - MENA Games For Change Summit: The inaugural Games for Change summit in North Africa and the Middle East will be held on October 11 and 12, bringing together worldwide gaming specialists.
